Trisha Yearwood is hitting the road.  The country star is launching her "Just Because" tour with a show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida Wednesday night.

She tells Billboard.com the name reflects her reason for the trek.  The singer explains that she doesn't have a new album or single to promote, but is heading out simply because she wants to.  But Trisha admits it's something her fans want as well.

She says in recent year's she's been very preoccupied with her Food Network series, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," and lately half of the tweets she gets are from fans asking if she's "done with music" and "just doing cooking" now.  Trisha's answer is an emphatic "no."  She calls "the cooking thing" a "happy accident," and says if she had to choose between the two "it would be music, no question."

Trisha adds that she's hoping to have a new album in stores later this year.  She says she plans to spend the spring and summer working on the project, so the disc will be ready for release before she hits the road with Garth Brooks this fall.  It will be Yearwood's first album since 2007's "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."
